Water is the foundation of life. With the immense quantities of water found on the planet, the reality of how much is drinkable is quite low. With increasing demands on fresh water – the need to understand the limitations of our supply is crucial.

70% of the earth‘s surface is water. 97% is salt water. 2% is polar ice and glaciers. Only about 1% is available as fresh water for humans.
